In nineteen States the tax on this truck is less than 100 dollars, in eighteen it is between 100 dollars and 200 dollars, in six between 200 dollars and 300 dollars, and in five others between- 300 dollars and 400 dollars. In only two States is it above 400 dollars. • ■■
■ The proportionate difference is almost as great in the-case of a five-ton truck equipped -with pneumatic tires, which in Texas costs 967 dollars, and only 20, dollars in California, while tbe average for all States, exclusive of Texas, is 160 dollars.
