DE LUXE THEATRE.
The war has provided the theme for endlees pictures, but none have been quite of the variety of "Tin Hats," screened for the flr3t time last evening at the Do Luxe Theatre. It Is an hilarious story of "Doughboys" at the front,. though they—there aro three ot them— arrive too late to take part in tho actual fighting as the Armistice has been signed. They are greatly disappointed at this, and drown their sorrows in a nearby estaminet, where they get properly "tight" and go to sleep.- Whert they wa.ko up, they find that the Allies have departed, 'so on stolen bicycles they go In search of Shelr company, and- .before they know where they are they have entered German territory. Their adventures In the Fatherland are ludicrously amusing, and had the audience convused with laughter. Conrad Nagel, Bert Roach, and Tom O'Brien do some capital acting a3 "Tho Three Musqueteers," while beautiful Claire Windsor makes a sweet und winning German baroness. The fun is kept going by a bright Mermaid comedy, in which trick skating play a prominent part. Also on, the programme is a New Zealand scenic, in which the Tutanekai is seen. In the Southera Sounds. It Is a Government Publicity film, and the audience is taken to 'llllford. Dusky, and other sounds noted as beauty spots of the Dominion. The Gazette is also of particular interest, as It ha 3 scenes of the Duke and Duchess of STork landing in Sydney, of ♦he Prince of Wales and Prince George in Spain, or the King of Sweden during his recent European tour, and of the athletic sports to America, at which the Cambrldgo University team was victorious. There aro also some line views of bulb-growing in Holland. The comedy picture on the programmo is "Track •Snares," and is most humorous. The musical side of tho programme includes "O Star of Eve," by Wagner, and - "Sometimo" on the Wurlitzer organ, Jlr. Aarons being the instrumentalist, and a novelty entr'acte by the orchestra, "Stars and Stripes," and selections repeated • this afternoon, and will be put on this evening and again during next week.
