LONDON, 28th July. Mr. Winston Churchill, Chancellor of the Exchequer, told a group of members of the House of Commons, who were agitating for economy, that it wai practically certain that sufficient economies had already been effected in the present year to cover the cost of the Shanghai defence force, estimated at £1,500,000. ■ . ;■
