For those who enjoy a blending of comedy and drama, "Bertha, tho Sewing Machine Girl," is recommended as filling tho bill in every particular. This old-timo play, revivified and brought up to date, has its first showIng at tho Empire Theatre to-night. A tine cast is headed by Madge Bellamy, Allan Simpson, and J.-Farrell M'Donald. The supporting programme is' excellent.
