WESTPORT, 23rd July. * ii J i?'?,™ 00" a Buller Soccer team stalled oft the second challenge this season for the Peter Dawson Cup by defeating West Coast, conquerors of the Canadians, by 3 goals to 2. It was a fast, exciting open game with both goals repeatedly fn danger. Archibald (Buller 1) and Timlin (Coast) goalies, made brilliant saves. West Coast led m the first spell by 2 goals to 1. Goals were scored by M'Neill and Rarity (Coast), and Chapman (Buller) In the second spell Buller put more "life" into theirplay, and Woods and DicSenson goaled. There was brilliant play on both
