At Wednesday's sitting of the Petono Magistrate's Court, Peavlo Elizabeth Fielding (Mr. G. Findlay) applied for a reparation and maintenance order against her husband, James Fielding (Mr. TX Grant), on the grounds of failure to maintain, and of persistent cruelty. After conferring with the solicitors and with the parties, Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M., reserved his docision until this morning, when ho said there were not grounds, for granting tho separation and maintenance order, but- he mado an order of £1 per week in rcspcet of the child.
