KING'S THEATRE.
"The Taxi Dancer," which will be shown at the King's Theatro to-night, is based on the novel of the same name by Robert Terry Shannon. Joan Crawford plays the title role, that of the carefully-reared girl, who, when faced with the hardest actualities, is unprepared to meet them. Miss Crawford essays tlie part of the taxi dancer, the little understood class of girls who hlro out as professional partners for any men who care to dance with them. "The Taxi Dancer" was directed by Harry Jlillarde, the producer of "Over the Hill" and "If Winter Comes." Millarde had a difficult task in filming this novel. Owen Moore plays the part of the good-hearted crook, who reforms in spite of himself, through Ills association with Jocelyu. Marc MacDermott, Kockliffe Fellows, Douglas Gllmore, Bert Koach, Claire MacDowell, Charles French, and William Orlamond are in important parts.
