DAIRY PRODUCE STEADY.
New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house under date 20th July: "Dairy Produce (last week's quotations in parentheses): Butter, 156s to 160s per cwt (]5Ss to 101s). Cheese: 883 to 80s per cwt (87s to 89s per .cwt). Markets steady." Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London house, under date of the 21st instant:—"Butter: Market slow. We quote Danish, 15Ss to 160s (loSs to 160s); New. Zealand, finest salted, 158s to 160s (158s to 160s); Australian, finest unsalted 164s (1645), salted 158s to 160s (loSs to 160s). Cheese: Market firm. We quote New Zealand, white and coloured, 88s to 90s (87s to 88s); c.i.f. price for Canadian, 89s (88s). Butter and cheese prices difficult to maintain. (Last week's quotations shown in parentheses)."
