YOUNG MAN DIES IN HOSPITAL

HAWERA, This Day. Otto Ammlehn, agod 23, a Swiss resident of Okaiawa, died in the hospit 1 yesterday as the result of shock following an operation for leg injuries received in an accident on the 18th June when the deceased, while riding a mo-tor-cycle, came into collision with a motor-car near Manaia. Ammlehn suffered a compound fracture of the right leg, and amputation was performed yesterday.

No announcement has yet been mado by the police as to the identity .of the driver of the car, which it is alleged did not stop when the accident occurred.
