(United Press Association.—Copyright.) (Published in Tbo Times.) (Received 21st June, S a.m.)
LONDON, 20th June.
"The Times" Lo Havre correspondent says that Prance seems successfully to have but-luxuried everything afloat with the new Campagnie Generalc Trans-Atlantic . 43,000-ton liner lie dc France, the largest liner constructed since the war. Tho designers a^iparently aimed to make the passengers when aboard forget they were on a ship. Features of the vessel include a chapel to accommodate 80 persons. A striking marble reception hall, with electric lighting giving the effect of softened sunlight; beautiful statues, marble pillars, Sevres vases, and a grand draw-ing-room decorated entirely in lacquer. The dining-room is tho largest on any steamer, and accommodates 700 of the 1658 passengers. The vessel will carry three seaplanes, which will proceed to shore when the steamer is within reasonable distance of the coast, shortening the voyage for passengers in a hurry. The vessel will shortly make her maiden voyage to New York, after which she will enter the Havre-Ply-mouth-New York service. Excursionists from all parts of France, including many notable people, inspected tho vessel.
