LODGE MEETINGS
The half-yearly meeting of the Melrosc i<° ?f ivas Pres't!ed over by the Arch Druid, Bio. A. H. Hornblow. There was a large attendance. The balance-sheet for the l»?I«-year was adopted. It showed that the different funds were in a very satisfactory state. The chief feature of the meet{!|B ,^ as the presentation of the Ritual Shield won by the lodge. The Royal Arc m^V" »>eJ»W of the B.A. Chapter made the presentation, and warmly con gwtulated the lodge on its excellent P erS d£,M? B pr?B,cntin« *« champion Aich Druds medal to the winner. A.D. (Pride o£ Brooklyn Lodge) were amongst the visitors. The weekly meeting of the Loyal Melrose Lodge, No. 53, 1.0. G.T., was held last ),'.?, IS sda>/ ■'■ The meeting opened with C.i.. iiro. &. Munn in the chair. One candidate was initiated. During the evening it was announced that the three youn»e«t sisters of the lodge had a scheme in hand to raise funds for the lodge, which is to take the form of a queen carnival. Supper was served by the harmony committee at the end of the meeting. The Island Bay Lodge of Druids held its half-yearly meeting last week, A.D. Bro. F. Kueh presiding. The secretary, P.S. Bro. X. A. Mollison, presented the balancesheet, which was adopted. The resignation of P.D.P. Bro. W. Mooney as superintendent of. Pioneer Juvenile Lodge was accepted, and it was agreed to recommend Bro. A. W. Hogue for the office. P.A. Bro. M'Cullough was elected O.G. and delegate to the R.A.C. P.A. Bro. C. Orr gave a favourable report on the working of the Medical Institute. The installation of officers waa carried out by D.P. Bro. H. Laughton. P.A. Bro. M'Cullough received the thanks of the lodge for services rendered as A.D., and is to receive the usual honours of a P.A. P.D.P. Bro. Tremayne represented the Royal Arch Chapter.
