BOWLING
, ; .- —■ ♦■:■■■ ■- VICTOBIA CLUB The thirtieth annual report of the Victoria Bowling Club* states' that tha past season has been a very pleasantand successful one. Eegret is expressed at the death of Mr. J. Earle, greenkeoper to the club. The financial statement showed that the overdraft had been reduced by £146. In, view of the almost immediate necessity of increased expenditure upon the club's property, the committee is strongly of opinion that the finances should be placed upon a more sound basis, and called for the careful attention of members. In order to put the finances on a sounder footing, notice has been given by Mr ; M. Marks to move that the subscription be increased. He has also given notice to move that the delegates to the Centre place before their clubs the desirability or otherwise of returning to the old method of pennant play (two at home and one away); and that the Flygor Shield be a'one-rink club challenge event, as the Edwin Feathers were at present.
