T.jr.C.A 2 'Varsity "0 Petone 5 Hula 0 Wesley 5 Wellington 1 Hutt 6 Karorl 2 So -irintry were conditions at Karori Park on Saturday afternoon for the continuation of the Wellington Hockey Association's competitions that : a number of players, several in the senior teams, fainted from the cold, and had to be carried from the field to their- dressingsheds. Many others were temporarily incapacitated as the result of collisions and ,accidents on the sodden grounds. Despite the fact that the continual rain and icy wind entirely precluded the possibility of good hockey, the senior A games were carried on to the bitter end, the only concession granted the players being the cutting out of the half-time spell. 3?he senior B games were abandoned at halftime by common consent. Training College brought off a surprise in the A grade by decisively defeating Karori A, playing a match which; under the conditions, was an excellent exposition of the game.
