A letter containing an account of a service held on Anzac Day on board the Tamaroa on her last trip from Wellington to England has been received by Mr. F. Ferriman, of Ashburton,. from his son, who was a passenger on the ship.' The service was held in the steerage, the others passengers attending, and a parade of ex-service men on board followed, including the following—Captains T. P. Grist, A. Hay ward, J. A. Hall; Lieutenants Kirk, A. T. Henley; Sergeant J. Slater; Corporals H. Christlow, E. A. Stead,.G..Bond, P. Gill, G. Ehodes; Bdr. B. J. .Williams; Ser-geant-Major W. E. Burchmore, V.C., D.C.M., Croix-de-Guerrc, Order of St. George; Lance-Corporal G. B. Baggott; Drivers W. Parkes, A. Huggard, F. Parks; Privates C. W. Copke, R. M. Stevens, T. Eevill, W. M'Lennon, A. D. Davidson, E. J. Youngs, F. Vallely,W. Gathercole, J. Young, E. G. Brooks, J. C. Fisher, J. Clancy, J. Milner, C. A. Taylor, J. B. Ferriman, P. Hardacre, E. M. May, L. E. Pavitt; Signaller A. W. Cheesley; Gunner C. W. Smith; Sapper I. Thomas; Conductor E. Boberts; and L. Gardener, A.B.
