ROPE AROUND HER NECK

(Special to "Xhe Evening Post") AUCKLAND, This Day. J°lln Crane, alias Ivan Krajanich (o7) is stated to have been found by a constable .yesterday dragging Ida wife with.a rope around hor neck. It is also stated that life had knocked down and threatened to murder her little girl, by a former husband. A remand was granted til] Tuesday. Mr. M'Kean, S.M., warned the accused to keep away and report to the police daily.
The Maheno, which loft Sydney at i p.m. yesterday' for Wellington, carries 9o bags of mail from Australia, seven from other places, and 13 parcel receptacles. • ■■
