STRAND THEATRE.
A capital double feature programme is being pfltsented at the Strand -Theatre. The first big- picture is "Variety." a. German .production, of outstanding merit, which shows different treatment, to anything of the kind ■ previously exhibited. Lya de Putti and Emil Jann.ings have the leading roles in the film, which deals with the back-stage life of the music halls. Jantings is a trapeze artist and ;Lva-de Putti his faithless wife, who enters into an intrigue with her hiisband's partner. Hoot Gibson is the star of the other feature, "The Denver Dude." Gibson has anotber of the virile, roles which have made him celebrated in the film world. The programme also'includes a Buster comedy, a gazette,' and a cartoon.
