C. Williamson Celebrity Vaudeville Company will commence at Auckland, Ihe season at His Majesty's Theatre being front 19th. July to 27th July. The actual personnel of the company has not yet been definitely settled, but it U rumoured that Lee White and Clay Smith, will be among the eompanv. Miss Winifred Dean, of Kapior" who nets under the stage name of Winifred Wayne, has been appearing with the London Repertory Players at the Regent, in "Loose Ends." This play, by Dion Titherage, is a revival and deals with the most modern of modern, young people. Into their midst there comes a simple, straightforward soul who is in love with the popular nctiess of the party. He marries hot, but it turns out that he has been jn pus>on for fifteen .years for a murder whijli was almost excusable. Although Jfina Grant is the Wife .aud heroine of tlto &tory,< Bronda Fallon, played by Miss Winifred Wayne 3 is the leading part. Eton-crop-ped, cocktail-drijiking, with language and ideas at the limit of'enlightenment, she portrays the ultra-modern girl. But she sees from the point; of yiew of the simple .soul, befriends him, and finally falls in lave with him, only to be called unpleasant names. The young Jfew Zealand actress has boen the bright particular star of an otheiwise rather poorly produced pjay. Her -^ork ip clever, and her appearance- is very much in her favour, v - Emelie Polini; the dramatic actress^ foiinerJy popular in Australia, and New Zealand, after playing in two pieces in . Chicago, uufprtuuately had a nervous breakdown just as the second one was ready to go into New York, and had to withdraw from it. v " 'Hose -Marie,' the nrst musical comedy to enter its second jear of contjnuotfs performance in Australia, has undoubtedly seuea on the popular .___^__; \
