BIG HOUSE DESTROYED

AUCKLAND, 17th June. The twenty-seven-roomed ."■Windsor" Boarding-house,' in Khyber Pass, was gutted by fire at 8 o'clock tonight. The fire had a good hold when the brigade arrived, and made a spectacular blaze. The building had been empty for several weeks. The cause of the fire is unknown. The building was included'in the property taken by the City Council for the waterworks extensions. Insurances and valuation arc unavailable.
