SOMETHING TO MAKE.
First ehpose a good strong cork, having a fine, close grain. Now, upon one end of it, draw your initials backwards with a thick nib in ink. Allow the ink to dry and, with a pen-knife, cut away the cork, leaving the inked initials. The cork must be cut away to a depth of 1-8 in.. To use your stamp, ink the letters (not too freely), and press down o- the paper. When you lift the cork you will find you have made a clear initial, and of course 1 it'a very useful for marking all sorts of things. "^■"'liKiiiimiiiiiiiiiß
