_, n DUNEDIN, This Day. Hie Otago Motor Club has decided to support a remit at the next meeting of the South Island Motor Union that the law should be amended, providing the penalty of imprisonment for the misappropriation of cars. '

One speaker declared that imprisonment for the first offence could not be too strong a punishment. The danger to human life had to be taken into consideration. There had been far too many accidents arising through drunken men stealing care.
