FINDING THE MONEY
Financial arrangements in connection with the institution of further Public Works, unemployment relief jobs are under discussion between the Ministers concerned. It is understood that the amount authorised for expenditure upon roading works during the year has been practically exhausted, and that ways and means are being considered for obtaining further money. A party of twenty men who were taken on at the Leeds street employment bureau left this morning for Tawa Flat/where they will be engaged on Public Works : roading jobs. It is understood that the work is not connected with the Tawa Flat railway deviation. A second party of about the same number: will probably leave tomorrow. ' ■
