The discovery that the Premier, General Averescu,* circulated an order that in event of the King's death all civil power passed immediately into the hands of the nearest senior army officer, resulted in his dismissal. It is stated that a copy reached M. BratL. ano, who showed it to the King. The newspapers aro charging General Averescu 's Ministers with misuse of public funds.
On Monday last, while the Bumanian Cabinet was .meeting, a Court official entered and told General Averescu that the King had entrusted Prince Stribey with the formation of a Cabinet, and demanded General Averescu's immediate retirement. Prince Stribey's portfolios are Foreign Affairs, Financo, and Interior. He supports Count Bratiano, and opposes the return of Prince Carol.
