ELVY IN WELLINGTON
. W. lUvy, the brilliant New Zealand and Canterbury Rugby football-repre-sentative three;quarter, v:ho recently transferred from Christehureh to the Bush district, has made another move. He is now in Wellington, and it is understood that he intends to remain here. There have been rumours that both Elvy and L. Johnson were likely to join Wairarapa's ranks; in fact, a' message from Auckland towards the end of last week stated that Johnson had already left, the, northern city for Masterton. Johnson'had then played a match for Wellington, and ho was in the same club team, last Saturday. So far as Klvy is concerned, Pctone claim that he will be in their side next Saturday, when, they will be without Kcarns, who, is under transfer back to the West Coast. One of' Victoria's, leading, players, B. . C'oupland, of the Kiwis, is due in Wellington this week. Couplaiid has represented Victoria. Players in the' field on Saturday intituled K. S. Svenson, who had indicated previously that he desired to •■ remain on the retired list. With the additions noted, Wellington's Rugbystocks appear to have advanced considerably. . .. .. : ■ ■. ■ ■
