BRISBANE, This Day. Central and-Western Queensland are in the grip of a drought which is said to he the most severe in. the. history of the. State. The drought in some places has entered upon its-third year, and there is little hope of amelioration before November or December, when the mousoonal rains may fall. The areas involved comprise the greater part of Queensland's sheep-raising country. Millions.of sheep are being, hand fed and millions have died.
