INQUEST

An iuquest concerning the death of Mr. William Edward Spencer, aged G3 who was found dead with a revolver shot in his head on the Thorndon breastwork at 7.30 a.m. last Tuesday, was held before Mr. E. Page, S.M., Coroner, yesterday. .Tho evidence showed that Mr. Spencer, after having eoinpleted 47 years' service in tho Education Department, retired in December, 1.925. Ho was somewhat worried about- his health, although tho day beforo his death ho seemed to be in the best of spirits. The Coroner found that tho deceased had committed suicide by shooting himself with a revolver.
