(From Our Own Correspondent.)! NELSON, 6th June. The Dun Mountain is a popular spot for holiday-makers, no less than one hundred making the climb on the King's Birthday. Mount Arthur was \' sited by several parties last week. They were rewarded for their enterprise by having a magnificent view from the summit— the atmosphere being particularly clear. The Union Steam Ship Company has chartered the steamer Waimea from the Anchor Company for three months. The Waimea will take lip the running of the Wainui in the Gisborne-Napier-Auckland service. The Nelson College rifle team were the winners of the Irvine Shield, with a score of 471. Seven teams competed, Marlborough being represented by the Eenwick Club. . ;_
