(United Press Association.—Copyright) GENEVA, 17th May. Ihe Economic Conference has reached a. stage when it is almost impossible to state exactly what has been accomplished. Most of the committees arc in the finishing stage. Many resolutions before the Drafting Committee will come up for final approval before submitting them to a plenary session of the Conference on Monday. A Conference committee to-day adopted a resolution to the effect that tho time had come to put an cud to increased tariffs, and that the nations should forthwith remove these barriers which unduly hamper trade, starting with those to counteract disturbances arising out of the war. The Dominions' interests are being vigilantly' watched and it is considered that they arc fully safeguarded.
