REPLY TO PRIME MINISTER

GORE, 17th May. Mr. H. E. Holland (Leader of the Opposition) addressed a public meeting to-night, confining himself to issues dealt with in speeches previously reported. His principal remarks concerned the Government's failure to ■cope with the land aggregation/ mortgage interest, and land transfer issues. He spoke at length on the dairy control issue and London opposition to the board, also dealing, as previously, -with the part played by Mr. Coates and Mr. Paterson while in London.

Mr. Holland intends to give a comprehensive reply to Mr. Coates's Dargaville statement when he reaches Cliristchurch on Friday.
