DE LUXE THEATRE.
'"The Scarlet Letter" is .being shown at the De Luxe Theatre. Lillian Gish, who takes the big part, reveals great depth of feeling in the character she impersonates. The story is as gripping as is the splendid manner in which the grim customs of the early days of the Puritans have been reconstructec 1 for' the screen. Miss Gish is supported by the splendid acting of Lars Hanson. The supports include a scenic and a cartoon. Mr. Emanuel Aarons renders Rachmaninoff's Prelude in C Sharp Minor. As a prologue to the star feature, Miss Kathleen O'Brien, together with twelve of her pupils, provides a delightful ensemble. The orchestra also makes its contribution to the general scheme of things.
