POLICE COURT CASES
Before Mr. W. Hildreth, J.P., at th« Mount Cook Police Court this morning, one first offender for drunkenuess was fined 10s, the amount of his bail.
Two wharf labourers, William Ernest Tinkler, aged .35, and Bert Teaguc, aged 37, pleaded guilty to breaking and entering by night, the shop of Edith Minnie Roxburgh, at 10, Molesworth street,and taking 5s and tobacco to a total value of £3 3s 0d; and to attempting to break and enter by. night the house of John Cook, at 66, Molesworth street, with intent to commit a crime. The accused were committed to tW Supreme Court for sentence.
Tinkler, who also pleaded guilty to the theft of an overcoat, valued at £1 lvs 6d, from a motor-car in Cambridge terrace, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment.
Detective-Sergeant Holmes conducted the prosecution. ■
