THE SITE QUESTION

AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE

The question of the option of the Palmerston North Borough Council for the purchase of the M'Hardy property outside Palmerston North, for the purpose of the new agricultural college was raised by Mr. W. Nash, M.P., in an interview to-day with the Minister of Agriculture (the Hon. O. J. Hawken).

The Minister stated subsequently that he had pointed out to Mr. Nash that the Government was unable to do anything in regard to the matter, in view of the promise given by the Prime Minister that the whole subject of the Agricultural College, including the question of site, should be open to review by the House of Representatives in the coming session of Parliament.
