THE TRUNK MURDER

SCOTLAND YARD’S PROGRESS

(United Press Association.—Copyright.) : -LONDON, 14th May. Scotland Yard learned to-night from a domestic servant, a friend of Mrs. Bonita, the victim of the Charing Cross trunk murder, that the latter received a telegram on 4th May stating: “I am out. Come and see me.” This corresponds with the time Mrs. Bonita left her rooms at Chelsea, when she was last seen alive. The police believe the murder was premeditated, in view’of the fact that the.trunk was. purchased before the woman’s death. The first theory that the murder occurred at Brixton is not strongly supported. The police are now concentrating:‘on locating a man released from gaol last week.
