MAGISTRATE’S COURT
Police cases in the Magistrate’s Court to-day were dealt with by Mr. E. Page, S.M, j.. : ~.. ; | For-his ; second offence of .drunkenness, Oliver Cromwell. Fettes, a labourer, aged 27, was fined- £l, the amount of his bail. Six first offenders were-also fined the amount of their, bail, 10s, in each case. On a charge of being.idle and disorderly, .with insufficient lawful means of support, John Sharpe;'a cook and bootblack, aged. 47, was remanded for a week for inquiries as to whether he could be placed in a charitable-institution. One first-offender for drunkenness was fined 10s, the amount of-his bail, by Mr. W. H. Coy, J.P., in the-Mount Cook Police ■Court to-day, and another, who spent the night in the cells, was convicted and-dis-charged. ‘
