THE WEATHER
The only place this morning that reported rain was Napier, but showers have fallen in other parts of the east coast during the past twenty-four hou s and cool and changeable conditions have ruled. Southerly to easterly winds have prevailed, but with decreasing force and the barometer has shown a falling tendency in the South. Moderate to strong easterly winds are now forecasted, and are likely to back to the north, with increasing cloud and haziness and milder conditions generally There are indications for a change' shortly in the west coast and southern districts. The disturbance forecasted for the latter part of the week appears to be decreasing in intensity, although it is by no means over.
