THE WEATHER

The only place this morning that reported rain was Napier, but showers have fallen in other parts of the east coast during the past twenty-four hou s and cool and changeable conditions have ruled. Southerly to easterly winds have prevailed, but with decreasing force and the barometer has shown a falling tendency in the South. The disturbance forecasted for the latter part of the week appears to be decreasing in intensity, although it is by no means over.
