NEW ZEALAND LEADS

SUCCESSES AT RANDWICK,

i United Press Association.—Copyright.)

(Beceived 29th April, 12 noon.)

SYDNEY, This Day. At the Australian Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting New Zealand headed the list of successful jockeys, trainers, and owners. .

M. M'Garten rode four winners and four placed horses. His winning percentage was £518.

F. D. Jones topped the trainers' list, securing three wins and two seconds, and also a dead heat for second. His horses Limerick and Battlement gained '£7611 in stakes.

Mr. H.~A. Knight was the leading owner. He won £,6961.

The "Sydney Morning Herald" says that by winning the Australian Jockey Club Plate Limerick settled all arguments as to which horse was the best stayer of the autumn. When M'Carten got to work on Limerick he simply came away and in the last few strides won by three-quarters of a length. The "Telegraph" says that Limerick's win was much easier than the margin would suggest. M'Carten, knowing he had the race in his keeping, was content to keep a fair hold on the gelding.
