A Prague message states that English financiers have offered tho Czoeho-Slo-valcl.'in Government a Joan of two millions sterling for tho purpose of establishing a mercantile marine. Tho Government intends to buy fifty ships of 300 16 800 tons, begiimin'g with threetrading to Britain, Hamburg, and the Baltic.
Csu'cho-Slovakia comprises, among other territory, ttie ancient Bohemia! ►Shakespeare's "island," situated in the heart of Central Europe, as far from tho sea as it well could bo. There are, however, a number of navigable rivers, including tho Elbe, and canals.
