INTEREST IN COTTON
CROMPTON CENTENARY

Press reports from Cairo state that according to present arrangements King I''uad will visit England, arriving at Dover on 4th July, and staying for throo days as tho guest of tho King at Buckingham Palaco.
During his stay in England King Fund will visit the great manufacturing ccntro of Bolton, Lancashire, to honour tho memory of Samuol Crompton, who invented tho spinning mule, which revolutionised the cotton industry, and whoso work helped forward tho Egyption cotton fields. Crompton died in 1827, and his centenary is being celebrated in Bolton.
