HOUSE MATCH

A match was played oh Saturday afternoon at Wakefield Park between teams representing Ellis and Manton, Ltd.,-and E. J. Hyams, Ltd. Hyams compiled 221 (Clarke 73, Nichol 31, Watson 34, Barry 23J^ and Ellis and Manton lost three wickets for 172 (M'Gavin 9i, Mace 70 not out). Bowling for E. J. Hyams, Henderson got two wickets for 47, and for Ellis and Manton, Mace three wickets for 49, and M'Gavin three for 49 were the most successful bowlers. Owing to the light- the game was abandoned, and ended in a draw.
