THE WEATHER
The westerly low pressure area, passed in the South during the night, 'and the barometer has risen over halt an inch. There have been strong westerly to southerly winds; rain has fallen in many parts of the country, and: a cool change has taken place since yesterday. The worst o£ the weather is now over, and moderate to strong southerly winds are forecasted, with a further rise in the barometer. The weather is likely to be cool and changeable for a time, with passing showers, and a cold night probable generally.
