CAMP AT TRENTHAM
The Central Depot, N.Z.A.S.C., hava just completed a most successful camp at Trentham, under the command of Cap* tain W. Smith, who was assisted by Captain J. Power, Lieutenants Burn, Fear, and Diekson, and Lieutenant P. Hazeldon as adjutant and Chaplain Walls, M.C. The unit was inspected by Lieut.-Colonel H. C. Pilkington, C.8.E., Major Sandle, A.A. and Q.M.G., Captain Crump, and Lieut.» Colonel Jl'Kinney, 0.C., N.Z.A.S.C. Instruction was given in all branches of A.S.C. work, also in musketry and Lewis gun. On the final day manoeuvres were held in Whiteman's Valley and a system of supply and transport services in the field was practised. The exemplary be» haviour of the men while in camp was 4 matter of ceneral comment.
