BLACKBERRY PARTIES.

The blackberry season is here, and those who favour the fruit will be interested in the Railway Department's announcement in this issue respecting the running of a train to Mangaroa and Kaitoke to-morrow. Two excursions were arranged last season. On the first day no less than 500 picnickers enjoyed a day's outing in the high country and obtained a plentiful supply of berries. The season is somewhat later this year, but it is understood the fruit bears a more matured condition than formerly, and is in good supply.
