HEROIC'S GOOD WIN
HOROSCOPE SUCCESSFUL

There was a large attendance for the concluding day at Flemington Llaces. Light rain fell after the second race, but the weather became fine again. The going was' good. Trivalve put in a great finishing run in the 1 Gibson Carmiehael Stakes, and won brilliantly. Trainer Seobie scored his fifth success in. this race. It. Lewis rode Trivalve. Three Kings led for a long way in the King's Plate. Heroic was second early, and went to the front at the two furlongs post, winning comfortably. The first mile, was run in lmin 48% sec. Heroic was loudly cheered. He has now won nearly £39,000 in stakes. Heroic goes to' the stud, in August. 'Postscript, running near the inner rails, led always in the Leonard Stakes,<and wefn easily. A. Wilson rode the winner. Postscript comes from Adelaide, and is trained by E. Hatweli. Biskra was fourth.
Hannan led for two miles and a quarter iv the Autumn Steeplechase, and was twenty lengths ahead in the straight, but he tired'badly. Bannock got up and seoi'ed comfortably. Bannock won the same taco last year." Imitator was fourth early, but won the Northcoto Handicap easily from the fastfinishing Corncrake,. Imitator is trained in Spearfelt's stable, by Yin. O'Neill:
The New Zealand-bred Horoscope was
seventh at the half mile in the Farewell Handicap, but finished with a great run, and won handsomely. The stakes distributed at the Flemington Meeting totalled £30,764.
