The city's address of welcome to the Duke and Duchess of York to-day was contained in this handsomely-carved Maori casket. The'lid and'body are carved from two heavy pieces of kauri, the lines and cuts of the art of the old Native, craftsmen being faithfully followed. The casket is the work of Mr. T. Hebberley, of Petone.
