LONDON PRODUCE PRICES.

Tallow.—Spot market quiet, with easier tendencies. Present quotations are:—Mutton, fane 3Ss per ewt, fair to good 35s 6d to Sis, dark to dull 33s 6d to 345; beef sweet- and/or mixed 37s to 40s, fair to good, 34s 6d to 36s Cd; dark to dull, 33s to 33s Cd; mixed, fair to good 34s to 36s Gd, dark to dull, 325. 6d to 33s "6dgut, etc., 31s 6d to 32s 6d. "Hemp.—Manila market easier. J grade S> ebruary-April shipments sold -£42 10s Market closed steady. March-May shipments quoted sellers £43. Sisal market weak. Sellers No. 1 February-April shipments and onwards £38, No. 2 £37. New Zealand market is easier. Highpoints March-May shipments sold £35, fair £34."

The High Commissioner (London, sth March) advises the Department of Agriculture as follows:—

"Wool. —Bradford;market firm tone. Fair demand for most,grades at about last quotations. Oats. —Market quiet, with easier tendency. Large supply of English best seed white selling at 33s to 355,' choice feed 2Ss. Imported market is not active. Plate ailoat sold 20s IOHd. Chilean afloat offered 21s 6d. Nominal value New Zealand A grade Gartons, Marsh shipments, 295; Peas.—Demand is moderate for imported. Maple; Tasmaniau afloat sold 955, New Zealand February shipments sold 86s and June-July 755. Blues; market fluctuating owing to large arrivals of Japanese, which sold afloat at £28 and March-April shipments "£29 15s. Value A grade Tasmanian March-April shipments about £19. . Beans.—Market continues dull. -English winter offered 43s to 445.' Cocksfoot.—Market quiet and prices unchanged. "Casein.—Present quotations are: New Zealand rennet, £50;, French rennet,'£6o; Danish, £65; Finnish lactic, £61. "Eggs.—Prices declining owing to large supplies coming forward from Continent Present quotations are:—English and Dan- 1 ish, 15s to 16s per long 100; Dutch, 14s to 14s Gd; Italian and Belgian, 12s to 12s 9d; Polish, 10s to 10s Gd.
