ENGLISH HEAVYWEIGHT
TERRIFIC BATTLE. IN BERLIN
(United Press Association.—Cbpyright ) -pi ««r> -i t, LO:NTDON- sth March. Ihe Daily Express's" Berlin correspondent states that Phil Scott, heavyweight champion of England, in defeating Diener, fought the fight of his life, and gave his opponent a terrific hiding. How Diener managed to stand against tho blows which were smashed against his jaw was astonishing. No wonder he earned such a reputation in America. It was on the whole a clean fight, although Scott was Warned twice for using the rabbit punch, and Diener was cautioned for using the kidney blow, which brought Scott down. The crowd roared in anticipation of their countryman's victory, but Scott rose, pulled himself together, and punched Diener all over the ring. The decision was unquestioned, and the crowd acclaimed the victor and vigorously roared when they saw Scott capering in the ring like a schoolboy with the customary- laurel wreath conferred on tha victor.
