CAUGHT BY TEAM
MOTOR-CAB BADLY DAMAGED
(By Telegraph.) (Special to "The Evening Post.") AUCKLAND, This Day.
Three occupants of a motor-car which was almost completely wrecked through colliding with a tramcar at the corner of Lake road and Cameron street, Takapuna, at 6 o 'clock last evening, had a miraculous escape'from serious injury. The motor-car was caught by the tram and carried across the full width of Cameron street, and then thrown against an electric light pole, finally rolling over on its side. A passenger in the motor-car, Edwin Howe, of Onehunga, suffered a fractured collarbone and an injury to his forehead which necessitated his removal to the Auckland Hospital, his condition being fairly serious. The driver, Claude Black, of Cameron street, was extensively bruised, and the other occupant, Miss Ethel Elack, received cuts above the left ear. The motor-car was extensively damaged.
