DOMESTICS BEFORE COURT
"These two girls were found at 10 o 'clock this morning in a Chineso laundry in Tarauaki street," said Sub-In-spector. Harvey in the Magistrate's Court to-day, when two young women, described as domestics, admitted being idle and disorderly in that they had insufficient means of support. The sub-inspector stated that the parents of one of the girls lived in Dunedin. This girl had stated that her mother sent her £1 10s a week. "She admits she has been living with the Chinese for two weeks, while the ot'.er girl states that she gets £3* a week for living with them," added the subinspector. -In order to enable the police to communicate with the parents, Mr. J., H. Salmon, S.M., remanded both the girls to appear on Wednesday for sentence.
