TIMBER INDUSTRY
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) TAUMAEUNUI, 9th February. A public meeting, called by the Mayor, Mr. G-. E. Man son, to discuss the depression in the timber industry, v.-rs largely attended. The meeting v.-as addressed by Mr. R. W. Smith, M.P., and a provisional committee was sat up to canvass for assistance in the light against imported timber and report at a later meeting.
