The. .annual bridge-to-bridge race from Aramohoto- the Town Bridge was held this' afternoon, and was witnessed by a large crowd' of people, including cyclists who followed the contest down the river bank. The result was! an easy win for Campbell, a youngster 14 years old. The placings were:—

Campbell (256 sec), time 32inin 29 4-ssec ....'. '.- j M. Waller (90sec), time 34min 7 l-ssec 2 Miss Jean Whyman (250 sec), time 35 miv 29sec s 3 Miss Joan; Pritchard.and Ryland deadheated for fourth place. M. .Waller secured fastest time, 34min 7 .1-Ssec.'•'■-;

There were 26 competitors and the race was full of interest. JFroin the start aided by a strong current Campbell went to the front and' was never headed and won easily.'. Shooting Dublin street bridge the order was Campbell, Miss Pritchard, Miss Hunt (WeUington). Opposite the Corporation baths Campbell was. .swimming well within;'himself and was steadily increasing his. lead. Passing the wooden groyne Miss Whymari. headed Miss Hunt, of Wellington.' In the sprint to the finishing post Waller came up at a fast rate and headed both Miss Pritchard and Mies Whyman, and secured second place. Although' Campbell was aided by a strong current his win! was a meritorious one. He is a strong swimmer and is the youngest competitor to win the cup. The cup was presented to the winner by Mr. H. W. Cooper, on behalf of the Central Club, ,:•. .' ' ■
