CHRISTCHUHCH, This Day. Trial matches at Wilding Park last night: between the leading eight Canterbury tennis players with, a view to selecting the Wilding Shield team, resulted:— Angas v. B. E. Loughlan, 7-5 (the match was called off to permit of a doubles match being played); Glanville beat Patterson, 6-4, 6-3; Ollivier beat Walker, 6-1, 7-5; Greenwood beat Seay, 1-6, 6-2, 6-2; Ollivior and Seay y. Patterson and LoughT lan, 6-3, 3-6; Angas and Glanville v. Greenwood and Walker, 64, 4-6.
